People at the airport are moving toward exit B, with signs that show the way and give warnings about smoking, mobile phone use, and wheelchair access.

Avinor’s societal mission is to own, operate, and develop a nationwide network of airports for the civil sector in Norway, as well as to provide a unified air navigation service for civil and military aviation in Norwegian airspace. The company has 43 airports and is a critical infrastructure company with a key role in Norwegian aviation.

Avinor is wholly owned by the Norwegian state. The state’s goal with its ownership is to achieve the sector policy objectives for aviation as efficiently and sustainably as possible.

Avinor has a self-financing model in which operations are funded by the airports’ commercial revenues and regulated income from aviation charges. On the liabilities side, the company is financed long-term through bank and bond loans. Avinor has a solid, long-term, and sustainable capital structure and works systematically to ensure financial resilience over time.
