For suppliers
Be part of developing the charging solutions of the future for aviation. Test arena gives suppliers a unique opportunity to test technology in real operations, gain experience, and help shape the next generation of charging infrastructure at airports.

Charging Systems
It is still open what future charging solutions for aircraft at airports will look like. That is precisely why testing new technologies and concepts is a central part of the test arena’s mission - and a unique opportunity for actors who want to help shape the development.
Through our first project, we have gained valuable experience with CCS charging for fixed-wing aircraft. In upcoming projects, we will expand our ambitions and test a broader range of solutions - from megawatt charging for larger aircraft to more flexible and slower charging systems for hybrid aircraft.
In close collaboration with aircraft manufacturers and charging equipment suppliers, the test arena aims to be an attractive development platform for future solutions. Together, we can mature technology, reduce risk, and lay the foundation for the next generation of charging infrastructure in aviation.

Testimonials
Driiv Solutions
-For DriiV Solutions, it has been both exciting and rewarding to contribute as a supplier of Norway's first fast charger for electric aircraft in Avinor's test project.
-The collaboration with Avinor has given us valuable experience with electrification in a new segment, and at the same time laid the foundation for further development of products and solutions that can be used in other parts of our focus areas, such as charging solutions for electric trucks- Kristoffer Hurv, Managing Director, Driiv Solutions AS
Driiv Solutions delivered a permanently installed fast charger at Stavanger Airport, used during the first test project in Norway as an international test arena in autumn 2025: Freight route between Stavanger and Bergen.

Skagerak Mobile Energy
-The collaboration with Avinor on charging infrastructure for electric aircraft at Bergen Airport, Flesland has been both exciting and educational. For us, this has been about understanding user needs in detail and delivering a solution that meets both technical requirements and operational expectations.
Avinor has been solution-oriented and understanding throughout the entire process, and the local resources at the airport have provided very good support along the way. Together, we have shown that standard, implementable solutions can also be used when electric mobility is lifted from the ground and into the air, and that Norway is well positioned to lead the development of sustainable aviation - Signe Marie Oland, business developer, Skagerak Mobil Energi AS
