The Zero Waste project is Oslo Airport's response to how the airport can minimize consumption, as well as take better care of the resources we already have.
The mission of Avinor is to operate a safe, efficient, and sustainable aviation system across the country. As part of this effort, Oslo Airport has initiated the Zero Waste 2030 project, and the work is led by the expertise in Avinor's Water and Environment department.
The Zero Waste project is Oslo Airport's response to how the airport can minimize consumption, as well as better take care of the resources we already have. When metal, plastic, wood, textiles, or other materials are reused, the need to extract resources from nature is reduced. This helps to halt the destruction of nature and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
