Sustainability at Avinor
Aviation affects the climate, environment, and nature both locally and globally. Greenhouse gas emissions from air traffic and airport operations have a global impact, while other environmental impacts from airport operations primarily have a local effect.

Avinor has a corporate-wide Climate and Environmental Strategy that includes policies, goals, measures, and KPIs to reduce climate and environmental impact, and reports annually in the company's Annual and Sustainability Report according to the requirements of the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)
To address environmental challenges, good and systematic environmental management is important. For both air navigation services (airspace) and airport operations, central environmental management and operational activities are certified according to the ISO 14001 standard.
