The vision of Avinor is: We connect Norway and the world through sustainable aviatio.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals are the world’s common action plan for sustainable development. Avinor follows the OECD Guidelines for Responsible Business Conduct and the ten principles of the UN Global Compact in its sustainability work. These are in turn based on the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the ILO Conventions on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the Rio Declaration, and the UN Convention against Corruption. Avinor’s values serve as a tool to ensure that its mission is carried out in a sustainable and responsible manner.
Avinor's behavioral values are:
- Open
- Responsible
- Decisive
- Customer-oriented
Policy & Ethical Guidelines
Avinor manages significant assets on behalf of society, and its social mission must be carried out with consideration for people, animals, communities, and the environment. Avinor sets strict requirements for ethics, social responsibility, and responsible business conduct—both within its own operations and for its contractual partners.
Avinor’s policy and ethical guidelines express the Group’s values in interactions with customers, suppliers, colleagues, and other stakeholders, and are intended to help us make the right choices when, as a company or as individual employees, we face ethical dilemmas.
As a member of Ethical Trade Norway, Avinor is committed to actively conducting due diligence for sustainable business practices.
Working Preventively Against Corruption
Our anti-corruption efforts are a natural part of our social responsibility. It is in both our and society’s interest that decision-making processes are conducted in an open and responsible manner. Therefore, we have established routines aimed at preventing, detecting, and managing any form of possible corruption. The program is monitored by Group Compliance and consists of a range of risk-reducing measures, such as ethical guidelines, training, dilemma exercises, relationship analyses, fraud audits, and risk assessments.
Local Communities & Neighbour Dialogue
Avinor recognizes that our operations can affect local communities and neighbours both positively and negatively. We are committed to involving stakeholders who are influenced by our activities and have therefore established what we call “Neighbour Dialogue” across the country wherever we operate. Neighbour Dialogue involves engagement with local politicians, businesses, and other stakeholders.
