    Avinor is hosting Capital Market Days in Bodø on February 13-14, 2024, and you are invited.

    We invite our financial partners to Bodø for a presentation of Avinor's current situation and selected strategically important areas for the future.

    In connection with this event, we are particularly proud to bring the attendees to Avinor's most important project in Bodø, as well as the Norwegian Aviation Museum:

    1: Avinor Remote Tower Centre - the world's largest remote-controlled tower center, currently remotely controlling 11 airport towers.

    2: Norwegian Aviation Museum - 10,000 square meters filled with exciting military and civilian aviation history.

    Speakers

    We are pleased to announce the speakers for the upcoming Capital Market Days organized by Avinor in Bodø, February 13-14, 2024. This event is a unique opportunity for our financial community to engage with industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries.

    During these two days, participants will have the exclusive chance to meet a diverse group of speakers who are at the forefront of aviation and infrastructure development. Our speakers come from various sectors, including finance, aviation technology, and sustainable development, and each brings a great deal of knowledge and insight into Avinor's current situation and strategic directions for the future.

    Abraham Foss has been CEO of Avinor since 2021. He previously held several senior management positions in telecoms, including CEO of Telia Norway, Head of Business of the Malaysian telecom company Maxis, and various senior management positions in Telenor Group. He has also been CEO of Sandsvær savings bank, a listed bank in Kongsberg and Drammen, and head of Innovation Norway’s activities in the USA, Canada, and Brazil. He has a Master’s Degree in economics from the Norwegian School of Management as well as educational background from law and the Norwegian Armed Forces.

    Heleen Winther Dyrstad - VP Infrastructure Development

    Infrastructure development aims to preserve our existing infrastructure and develop new infrastructure that is built for future conditions. Present needs for investing in infrastructure should be made without compromising future opportunities for new or further development. The department's main objective is to find a balance between maintaining existing and developing new infrastructure.

    Jens Petter Duestad - Head of Operations Remote Tower Centre

    Remote Tower Centre Bodø is the largest of its kind in the world and provides Air Traffic Services to 11 airports in Norway. By the end of 2024, three additional airports will be implemented. As Head of Operations, my responsibilities span from developing procedures, ensuring that safety levels are consistent, and developing new working methods! 

    Mats Gjertsen - VP Avinor Drone Program

    Mats Gjertsen is the leader of the Avinor Drone Program, a dedicated program for the entire Avinor group covering everything related to drones/UAS. Key areas are Unmanned Traffic Management, Detection of unlawful drones, Avinor's own use of drones and Future Air Mobility with electric vertical take off and landing vehicles (eVTOLs).

    Petter Johannessen - CFO and EVP Strategy and Corporate Governance

    Petter Johannessen joined Avinor in 2004 and he is the CFO of Avinor and manages Group Strategy and Corporate Governance with responsibility for all finance and financial functions, group strategy, ownership dialogue, and the group project management office. Johannessen has previously held various financial roles in the healthcare sector in Norway and the US, among others, and he has an MBA in Finance, Investments and Banking.

    Jesper Krogh - VP Customers, Strategy and Authority contact
    Responsible for internal and external contracts in Avinor ANS. Avinor ANS representative regarding Insurances.
    Vidar Tokstad - Head of Fire Safety and Prevention
    The department of infrastructure development holds the overall responsibility for fire prevention and safety on all the airports managed by Avinor. This includes overseeing fire safety measures on critical infrastructure, conducting risk assessments, and developing action plans.
    Hilde Vedum - Finance Director
    Hilde Vedum is the Finance Director and the head of the finance team, a unit within Group Strategy and Corporate Governance, with responsibilities for all funding, treasury, and insurance activities. She has a background from investment banking and an executive MBA.
    Knut-Olav Traa - Head of Enterprise Architecture

    Knut-Olav Traa has been working at Avinor since 2023 as the head of the Enterprise architecture area, responsible for ensuring that Avinor is making the right technology decisions. Prior to joining Avinor, he worked as the Director of IT architecture in OBOS, a Norwegian housing developer, managed Enterprise architecture and portfolio management in the shipping company, Höegh Autoliners, headed the Integration competency center in the renewable energy company, Statkraft, and worked as a solution architect and system’s developer in Microsoft and the Norwegian consultancy, Bekk Consulting. Knut-Olav holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Oslo (2000).

    Olav Mosvold Larsen - VP Sustainability

    Working for Avinor since 2007, Olav is currently VP Sustainability. His responsibilities include activities related to carbon emission reductions at Avinor’s 43 airports, as well as introduction of sustainable aviation fuels, hydrogen and electrified passenger aircraft, aircraft noise, biodiversity, water and soil and emission permits. Mr. Larsen has amongst others chaired ACI Europe’s Environmental Strategy Committee. He holds a degree in political science and has worked as a researcher at the University of Oslo, Centre for Development and the Environment.

    Gaute Skallerud Riise - VP Traffic Development

    Gaute Skallerud Riise has been in Avinor since 2016 and from 2020 held the position as Vice President of Traffic Development for the airport group. His area of responsibility covers traffic analysis and prognosis, business development passenger and cargo airlines, customer and traffic strategy.

    Karianne Helland Strand - VP Projects and Development

    Karianne Helland Strand manages Avinor's infrastructure projects, including overseeing the development of new airports in Bodø and Mo i Rana. As of now, Avinor's total portfolio of infrastructure projects consists of around 100 projects with a total worth of 18 billion NOK.
